Hey Mike, 23 Apr 04 18:29, you wrote to All: MR> Hello folks.. MR> I have not worked with my BW reader in about 5 years. I have a MR> question. It seems it cannot be used properly after y2k. Can I upgrade bw220 to a 386 without having to register? In MR> other words would my reg for 220 be good if I upgrade to the 386 MR> version? Just a few questions. I don't know what I am going to do, I MR> do like the bw reader. The BW Reader IS y2k compliant. But QWK packets that many people use are Not. There was a BWREPFIX program out a while back that would hack the date to make it at least look kind of right, but the QWK format itself is not y2k compliant. This is undoubtedly something I'll have to deal with when I finish my BW/QWK code for EleBBS. -- Dan --- FMail/Win32 1.60* Origin: Accepting Prisoners: Telnet://thedungeon.dnsalias.net (1:311/6) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 311/6 3005/1 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
