I'm running Slackware Linux 14.1 32-bit.  Slackware does come with a version
of SDL installed, but I am installing SDL2 (available via a third-party
repository).  I'll give Netrunner a spin. :)

*** several minutes later ***

Netrunner worked like a charm.  I just had to install SDL2 and set the
executable with the executable flag and off it went.  Thanks!  The full
screen mode looks kinda funky now but I'm using a 2008 vintage ASUS EeePC
900 for my main personal computer right now and that 7" screen ain't what
it's all cracked up to be. :D
