KE> I have a question that I have asked so many and everyone at the

KE> is there guide lines that a person could go by when trying to decide
KE> what propeller to use with a particular size engine??? I have bought
KE> several used engines and I cannot figure out what is the right prop
KE> to use and which is wrong. I have the following types: OS .10,
KE> TIGER .40, K & B .61, and a .25 ....... If someone could tell me
KE> what the proper props are to use (and what makes one different from

Ken,
All of the engines that I have worked with, both 2c and 4c, gives a range of
recommended propellars to use. These will vary in pitch and diameter.
Putting to big of a propellar will cause the engine not to reach the peak rpm
for that engine, and causes the engine to work harder and wear sooner.
Putting to small of a propellar on an engine causes the engine to have to
any
rpms which will cause the engine to overheat and shorten the life of the
engine.
Work with the dia x pitch of the propellar range specified by the
anufacturer
until it performs to the way you like to fly.
