In slackware, there is a file /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf which contains the settings for the network interfaces, although the wireless interfaces are set in /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless.conf. These files are read by the script /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 which is run upon startup. The rc.inet1.conf contains settings for ip address, netmask, and gateway, or alternatively can have the interface use dhcp. Also, remember to set your nameservers, which are probably in /etc/resolv.conf Of course, I'm sure that there are gui tools to use for all this as well. So, hopefully a Fedora user will let you know. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 106/2000 633/267 |
