 MR> Hello folks..

MR> I have not worked with my BW reader in about 5 years. I have a
MR> question. It seems it cannot be used properly after y2k. Yet I see many
MR> of you are using it. I posted a message in an area and it said the
MR> message was posted in 2010. Well, is there some kind of fix for this?

You want BWREPFIX.
I'm not sure if there is a later version, the latest one I downloaded
was BWRF062.ZIP, containing:

HISTORY.TXT 4941
FILE_ID.DIZ 307
BWREPFIX.EXE 62407
BWREPFIX.DOC 10575
LICENSE.TXT 1390
BWPACK.BAT 665

Read the BWREPFIX.DOC file for a complete explanation on where to
place the EXE and BAT files and how to reference them to counteract
the y2k problem with qwk reply packets.

MR> Can I upgrade bw220 to a 386 without having to register? In other words
MR> would my reg for 220 be good if I upgrade to the 386 version? Just a
MR> few questions. I don't know what I am going to do, I do like the bw
 MR> reader.
 MR> Mike

The 386 version uses a different serial number generator, so the
serial number for the (DOS) version won't work in the 386 version.

Just to be certain you said it correctly:

You want to upgrade from BW v2.20 to: BW v2.30/386

There is a BW v2.30/DOS which will use your BW v2.20 serial number.
