> Hi Mike and all other interested listers,
I have been reading this list and have dewcidied to comment on what
didn't happen here in Indiana. I first joined the NFB over 2 years
ago. The first time our chapter organized, I sent in a letter to the
national office letting them know who was elected to office etc. i
did this becaise I was elected secretary. Well to move on with the
story, the chapter president quit and then we re-organized. I was
then elected treasurer. After letters once again being written to the
national office we had no response again. We were a small
fledgling chapter with not any money to donate at all. Our chapter
has since dissolved due to lack of communication with the national
office, we were never even posted in the Braille Monitor . There was a
lack of communication with other NFB officials in Indiana as well.
So I do dissagree that the national office keeps taps on its chapters
and state affiliates, because if it did we would of not given up now.
Our state does have a chapter development committee now and one
dear lister has sent me many letters and offered to help but it is
too late. , one cannot have a chapter with only one member. Deb
& Mel
