I see you have not taken the offer to try it. For faster modem connections
add ,,,*3 to the phone number. Its not needed, but takes four rings, (two
rings if someone left a message) plus the voice message of 15 or 20 seconds
off the modem/BBS mail session connection time.
For voice calls, all one hears is the ring, until either I answer, or my
answer machine answers. No other noise is heard. Like I said, their are
atl least 10 other devices out their, and some are well below $100, and one
below $50. Like I said, those other devices don't have all these features.
In my own testing, I've called my system voice, fax, modem, and MSI BBS Mail,
and tried to interup fax, and BBS mail sessions without sucess. I tested on
the plan pulse line 1st, as many home businesess start with only one line,
and one answering machine. I for one try to keep costs down, both for my
self, and my employer. I've worked out of my home for over 30 years, as my
parents did before me, and their before them. I also work a day job when I'm
able.

If you looked in to the possibility of flight 500 years ago, everyone would
have told you it was impossible. It has nothing to do with now, and what is
possible now. Like I said, its set up, so why don't you make ca voice call
and test it out?
Since you have a prefered supplier, test what ever it is they sell.
