Hi Nancy!
BG> PR> interest slightly. It was a pair of sub transducers you
BG> mount to your
BG> PR> car's frame to achieve the bass "feel" without the bass
BG> noise.
BG> PR> You supposedly only get the tactile bass without the
BG> audio. I
BG> PR> wonder if anyone's tried this approach in a home setup?
BG> Haha! What a wonderful thing to place on the walls next to my
BG> neighbor that thinks he's a DJ. I've heard of drivers like that being
BG> placed into chairs and seats though,,, why not place it right in
BG> contact with the destination... our bodies... might make a good
BG> massage setup too!
NW> Mine too! (actually upstairs neighbor!) The next time she plays
NW> her stereo for the complex (with her doors and windows closed), she
NW> has to move (if the office gets wind of it - or should I say *hears*
NW> about it!). It's been an ongoing battle (literally) for the past 2
NW> months and she just can't understand that what carries is the bass.
NW> It took the manager coming into my apartment and hearing for herself
NW> (the manager) to understand what the problem was. All we heard was
NW> the bass... every note... and the neighbor didn't work so she
NW> played her stereo all hours of the day and night.
Noise pollution, lack of consideration of your fellow human being and all is
getting to be a real problem, Boomboxes in the middle of the wilderness,
boomboxes on wheels sometimes known as cars pass by daily on streets, people
with stereo system jamming out at 2AM and you gotta get up for work at 5AM..
We all just need to become a little more aware of how we impact others with
out equipment, have a little sense of responsibility when using it that you
aren't impacting others with your desires or need for loudness..
I've been in a lot of bands that have to rehearse at houses, and been able to
do so and get away with it by scheduling around neighbors as best as
possible. And the neighborhood kids love listening i when we are really loud.
