There must be something I missed in the thread thus far.[shrug] I've been
running Fidonet software in some form of Windows environment for over 16
years and have never needed anything to run programs 'in the background'.
Are we talking about some sort of scheduler? Or, something else that may
be missing in the latest, so-called advanced modern, version(s) of Windows?
