Lots of time these kinds of problems are a result of the shell you are
using,
not the server itself. Novell releases new shells for a reason, not to just
piss
off LAN Admins. If you are using the Mickysoft shell for NetWare Networks,
you're bound to have problems with file locking (just ask Lotus). If you
are
using Novell shells, make sure they are current.
There are also SET parameters on the server for maximum file and record
locks
and you may be exceeding the default settings for these parameters.
