Hi Jan,

Telix is displaying the port speed here, which is correct if there is no
connection.

Telix should display the speed returned by the modem in the CONNECT string.
For this to work properly, you have to ensure that the modem is returning the
same CONNECT message that Telix is looking for: normally the word CONNECT.
Also, the modem has to be configured to return the DCE speed (the modem-modem
speed) and not the DTE (port) speed. Check your modem manual. Many modems
use S95 to define the CONNECT string: try S95=3 (or any ODD number).
Call the system from the terminal screen using the command ATDTxxxxxxxx
(where the xxx represent the phone number) and press ENTER. When the modem
connects, the actual connect string will be displayed. You'll know you have
the modem set properly when the string looks like: CONNECT 9600 . It's modem commands you'll have to change to get that - not the Telix
parameters.

What do you mean? Check the telix config and have it set to "Drop DTR to
hang up".
