Following up on Edward's request that I return to being the "official

the Internet.

Hi Steve, I know that you do not work for USI or New Deal but I have a
problem with New Deal Office that did not occure with Ensemble ver 2.01.
On my old computer a 486DX2-66 with 8 megs of RAM printing with Ensemble
worked just fine with no problems, errors or crashes. New Deal would
print in text mode only anything else gave me a KR-07, a KR-09, or froze
the computer. I did try all of the suggestions in the manual and
troubleshooting guide with nothing resolving the problem. On my new
computer a 586x-120 with 16 megs of RAM New Deal will print. However,
if I am printing a graphic I get a low on resources message. It looks
to me like New Deal changed something in the way Geos prints causing it
to use even more resources when printing than Ensemble. You might pass
this along to USI Kenl as I have not been able to get him to answer my
last message.

I thought I encountered this problem one day, when I created a
document that was full of graphics. However, after cleaning out
the \privdata\spool directory and changing the setting for my
serial port from "7" to "BIOS," I was able to print without any
further problems.
I've seen a couple similar reports, though, so I'm watching and
testing to see if I can determine what's going on.
Steve
