In my Free Avast under Settings , General, Pop-ups under (show popup offers
for other Avast offers) it says; "You may disable this option only in
Premium product: Update now".

There are also several others popup choices, but when I have Silent/gaming
mode checked, I don't hardly ever see a popup.

I like Avast but only use it's File Protection mode.
