On 13 Apr 04 17:30:00, BRUCE CLARK got back to DAN CEPPA -> Re: BW/386 BC> The two pieces don't line up correctly when you go to switch back, BC> and the BWAVE386 program crashes. DC> That sounds like what is happening. BC> BC> Are you downloading large enough packets where you really need the BC> 386 version of BlueWave? Not really! The main reason I'm now using the 2.30 version is that is doesn't lose replies if I have a system crash. 2.12 did not do that. And, WINxx didn't let me use the programs that I used to use when that happened. But, I can't access a tagline file in DOS230 that I used to be able to use in 2.12. WIN230 let's me do so, but it won't let me use SWITCHER! BC> Is there a version of the switching program that will grab protected BC> mode RAM, above the 1meg boundry, and use it to switch programs like BC> BW/386 and the big DOS games. I'll look into that a bit more. However, the company that wrote it is long gone. From the error messages I can occasionally grab from a bad session, it seems like both programs are trying to grab the same hook at the same time. --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:123/666.0) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/666 500 106/2000 633/267 |
