Michael,

You're going to be hard-pressed to find OS/2-native versions of most doors
¨anymore. The author of LORD has told me that he feels that OS/2 is a
waste of ¨time for him and he will not develop it (although the doorkit
he's using has ¨the capability do to so, I guess since he won't be having
throngs of OS/2 ¨sysops worshipping him like he does Win32 and Linux
sysops, he won't do ¨it...just my opinion of course...).
I, however, write OS/2-native doors and am a sysop. I only have a couple
of ¨doors that I've done that are OS/2-native. I am working on porting the
doors ¨to a doorkit that will do OS/2, BUT you have to use DOOR32.SYS for
the ¨dropfile. Thankfully, you chose a BBS package that can do just that.
Instead ¨of writing the com port, you have to write the com handle.
I used to run Maximus/2 years ago and I did write a DOOR32.SYS MECCA
script. ¨However, I no longer have that script. It's actually pretty easy
to write the ¨actual MECCA to do it-I do have my OS/2-native DOOR.SYS MECCA
somewhere in ¨backups. I could dig it up for you and we could continue
this in netmail... or ¨since I'm the moderator, we could continue this in
here if no one else ¨minded a little banter between us since it
is, after all, related to ¨OS/2-native BBSing. :)
I run Telegard/2 and wrote a script for it to use DOOR32.SYS doors. So I
think ¨I could do that for you too.
Later,
Sean
