Hi Herman,
You need RPRINTER running at the workstation.
The files the workstation needs access to (either locally or in a search
drive) are:
IBM$RUN.OVL
RPRINTER.EXE
RPRINTER.HLP
SYS$HELP.DAT
SYS$MSG.DAT
SYS$ERR.DAT
They are in SYS:PUBLIC by default, but if you want the remote printer to
be accessible without the workstation logged on, copy them to the PC's
local hard drive or SYS:LOGIN. Note that the workstation will need to
have the network shell loaded, but it doesn't need to be logged in if
the files are in SYS:LOGIN or on the local drive.
To set up the remote printer use PCONSOLE and define the printer as type
"Remote" with the parallel or serial port on the workstation you connect
it to. You also need to add the line
SPX=60
to the workstation's NET.CFG file.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more info. To reply in a
personal message, substitute the address below for that in the header.
