subject: RE: Prayer request

Hey, first, I'd like to thank everyone for the recipes you sent earlier. I
made the muffins and plan to make the cranberry fruit thingie later on this
week. I didn't even get a taste of the muffins. . . that's what comes of
having a houseful of people and not hiding one for yourself.

Second, I was just asked to ask y'all to pray or send positive
thoughts--whichever you do, you know--for my mother, who really seems
perfectly fine, but who is going to have to have a second (more advanced)
colon test done later on this month. She's totally stressed out about it,
because five years ago, she was operated on for colon cancer. She's
terrified that they'll find something or another. . . though there's no
reason to be afraid. She's upset because of having to give up her home and
move in with us, of course, and has been having to let the relatives have
some of her furnishings--which I think has contributed to her
discomfort. Anyhow, today the doctor's office sent her a certified letter
telling her that she had to come in for that second test, and she just fell
apart; she ignored their three phone messages and their regular mail
letter over the past couple of months, so I can't blame them for doing
that, but it just upset her to bits. Anyway, if you'll pray that she (and
I) (and our household, for that matter) will be healed and have good health
so we can finish up all the stuff we have to do by the end of the year,
we'd surely appreciate it very much. She had me ask the mailing lists I
was on a few years ago to pray for her, and she felt very lifted up during
that time, and so she wanted me to ask again. Those who feel like it --
thanks so much, in advance. Blessings for this Christmas season (Chanukah,
Kwanzaa, and everything, too) to everyone.

(Her name is Jodie. Although God knows who you're praying for, but she
felt like I ought to tell you. Tee hee! She is a technotard . . . that's
somebody who just can't catch on to computers and technology, or thinks she
can't.)

Thanks again!
Shal
