I have been using Supras ever since I bought my first modem (a Supra 2400
Plus with v.42bis external), and also own a SupraFAXModem 144LC, which is
an external 14400 with Class 2 FAX, and everything.
What I've noticed is that both of them have a loud annoying 'click' when
it either picks up, or drops the OH. This occurs with any setting for ATM
as well as ATL, and was wondering if there is someway to stop this.
I have friends with both USRs and Intels, and neither of them have this
sound.. and it is quite annoying in the middle of the night when my BBS
is calling out at 3am, and I keep hearing this CLICK..........CLICK.......
CLICK........CLICK, as it keeps picking up, and hanging up the phone line.
I was wondering if even unhooking the speaker would help at all.. or is
this sound generated somewhere else on the modem.
