Greetings Murray!
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Murray Lesser wrote to Don Guy:
 #ML#> David is incorrect in his remark about not skipping COM numbers.
Thanks, but either way doesn't seem to make a difference.
 #ML#> Since I do not use a DOS communications program, I'm not sure why I
 #ML#> left the VSIO device driver in the file!
Perhaps you have a memory like mine--it's rather good, but tends to be short
once in a while. :)
 #ML#> What does SIO report during the boot?
My current line is:
Device=C:\SIO\SIO.Sys (COM1,3F8,IRQ4,,F) (COM2,Internet:2F8,None:IRQ3)
 (COM3,3E8,IRQ4,,F) (COM4,Internet:2E8,None:IRQ3)
At boot, SIO reports the correct addresses/IRQs for COM1/3 (as well as the
16550 blurb); COM2/4 are reported as virtual ports, with neither address nor
IRQ.
 #ML#> In your entries, you have set the IRQ for the DOS version of your
 #ML#> virtual port (vmodem) as IRQ 4 (none:4). What IRQ is your Telex
 #ML#> program looking for?
Yeah, that's a leftover from when I was trying every port address/IRQ
combination that I could think of. :)
