With the Digital Research/Novell/Caldera DOS the 'ms4.geo' would
have to be replaced with the appropriate geode. 'drdos.geo' or
something like that. Novell identifies itself as MS-DOS 6.0 but I
think it still needs the same geode. PC DOS 7.0 already has the
SETVER entry so the default installation of PC DOS 7.0 should run
Ensemble without any changes. However, if you leave SETVER out of
CONFIG.SYS you would then need to specify the ms4.geo geode.

Very true. With scanners, Zip (tm) drives, CD-ROMs, disk caches
and more requiring device drivers to be loaded, memory is getting
a bit scarce on some machines. I ended up with PC DOS 7.0, but
replaced SMARTDRV with NWCACHE in order increase conventional
memory. I have a dual boot with OS/2 and Ensemble-OS/2 seems to
be an ideal combination.
