The above means that you can become a point at a node who is not CDP
capable by also entering the node data yourself.

If you already had a point number at a CDP capable node, you were able to
use it even before this version, but now this got even easier with that:

       + If you already were a point at a CDP-Node and you don't have a
         CDN-File, you can select this now during installation and enter the
         data manually, so no new point number will be given away.

And combining both, you can use the FPD for a non-CDP capable node with an
already existing point number. But the FPD was devoloped mainly for new
users who don't already are in Fido, but old points can use it, too.
