subject: 1/3 - Kermit by LAN

Hi Nancy, 1/3

About "TelNet File Transfers" of May 28:

NB> Craig... ...the only thing that works is the kermit uploads.

I could be mistaking but i believe Craig Healy is using `WC-Kermit'
even for what he called "RealKermit" UpLoads and it's slow at 100 cps...

BC> ...I telnetted to CHOWDA Net and uploaded this with Zmodem.
NB> Which telnet client is that? And is it for DOS?
BC> ...I do windows as there were a lot of things I could not get
BC> software in DOS for. But I still do a lot of things in DOS...
NB> I'll stay with DOS for absolutely as much as I can, thank you.

I suppose that the following won't be of use to you right now since
you access the INet via DialUp, as i have myself in normal circumstances
until recently. Though, i thought it might be of interrest to your guru
so i decided to post an `RLFossil'+`MS-Kermit' setup which i happened to
be testing with an ~NIC~ connected to a router (the later is linked to a
~DSL~ MoDem). SysOps who can't get their `Kermit' support right for use
with in a .QWK door might find easier to make some adjustments this way:

The next file makes `MS-Kermit' connect thru `RLFossil'... :) Its
name reminds me that i 1st published it with `Arachne' in mind but yet i
can use it in this configuration; i published an .INI file intended for
direct ~TCP~/~IP~ `Kermit' interfacing on my ~WEB~ site, many years ago.
