Parmenides, of course, doesn't finally answer the question but he
ogitated
on Truth and Delusion and was told that the NOT IS is unthinkable. Today,
he
question would be posed as the struggle between the "truth" of philosophy and
the "truths" of theology or ideology. The latter are often far more
ppealing
for the former has no final answers.
