Hello Dan,
Glad to hear someone is learning Netware.
Make sure you have your protocols bound
properly, i.e: 802.2 frame type for IPX
and ETHERNET_II for TCP/IP. In addition,
make sure your client workstation has
the same frame type as your server.
Try not using "Auto-Sense" an see what
happens.
Yet another possiblility, is Win95
uses VxD drivers, not conventional
memory drivers, and it perhaps
something on the client is not
working, but seems like it does.
Create an old fashioned boot floppy
for DOS, and try the following
a:\netware\lsl.com
a:\netware\3c905.com
a:\netware\ipxodi.com
a:\netware\netx.exe /ps="file server name"
IF you can connect this way, but not
under 95, try re-installing the NEtware
client, picking ODI drivers instead
of NDIS drivers.
Good luck.
