I don't have any experience with clip4win, nor with any other product of
this kind. I'm trying to decide which one I'm going to choose to use my
clipper code and make Windows applications. I don't think Clipper and
Windows is an unused combination, because if it were there would be no
reason for products like FiveWin, Clip4Win or XBase++ to exist. There are
lots of applications written in Clipper and there must be a way to make
Windows applications from them.
What I have learnt by now is that in all cases you have to change
everything the users see (menus, browses, etc.) in order to get a GUI Windows
and not a DOS looking application. It sure is a lot of work, but must be
less than rewriting everything from the beginning.
I'll let you know if I get a piece of information about Clip4Win.
