There was a set of messages, from Sasebo, just before you did a few from
Doc's, that Maurice and I saw, but apparently Dan didn't, except as
quotes as we replied to you. Probably it was just a glitch in his
receiving them, for whatever reason... but curious, just the same.
After he started wondering about it, even your Sasebo ones made it his
way as well... :)

Sounds lovely... :)

CS> And Charlotte? Lord almighty! Don must have gotten every toy at
CS> JCpenny that fits her age group. Some of them, I wanna play with!
CS> The rock tumbler looks cool! 3 different art kits (color pencil,
CS> watercolor, and a mixed one with beads and glue and stuff like that).
CS> 2 orgami books and 3 sets of orgami papers. A kids book on medevial

CS> pottery wheel kit, a typewriter (not sure how much she
CS> willuse that last but she likes it), an easy bake oven (they are all
CS> the rage just now out here), and the favorite so far is a really NICE
CS> microscope kit in a carry box. More clothes and stuff like that too
. Oh and a candle making kits and some other stray stuff.

Those should keep her busy for a while! :) I can see why you'd want to
help her play with them, too....

CS> Don got his fishing trip of course as well as lots of new clothes,
CS> some games for his favorite playstation, a wheel clock (shaped like a
CS> big wooden ship wheel with a petitpoint ship inside, battery operates
CS> on an AA battery), a
CS> wall 3d picture of an Asian fishing villiage (really NICE art in this
CS> one). Other sundry little things like cigars and sandalwood soap.

I think all three of you made out like bandits, for sure...!! :)

We've had a quiet Christmas so far... Richard had both Christmas Eve
and Christmas day nights off from work, so we spent Christmas awake at
the same time... Given the schedule we've been on, that in itself
was a very much appreciated gift... :)

The noisy tumult part of the season happens tomorrow when my family gets
together at my sister's. According to my rough estimate count, there
will be around 50 people there from my great-niece and -nephew just born
this past year thru all the nieces and nephews (some of them married
with spouses), and my siblings and spice, to my parents, aged 77 and 85.

Given that we haven't any money to speak of this year for gifting, I'll
have a couple of bags of (inexpensive but useful/fun) goodies for people
to choose from... last year I had mostly boxes of granola bars, hair
clips, school supplies and various/sundry stocking-stuffer type things.
I let my parents pick first, and then had the others pick, starting from
the youngest and working up to the oldest... It was fun enough and
received well enough that I'm doing it again this year with a different
assortment of goodies... :)
