I saw an article in Architectural Digest years ago about concrete
technique. Seems some very attractive counter tops, sinks and other
structures were being made with tinted concrete, and concrete with
texture/color metal imbedded, like copper, brass, stainless. The concrete
surface was ground with a hand grinder and diamond wheel (readily available
from masonry suppliers) and sealed with clear stuff. I have wanted to try
this. A warm tone like a soft brown with some machine shop shavings and
scrap copper wire stirred in would be interesting.
