JK>I've got chamomile growing wild around here. Is there any danger in
JK>picking and saving this plant?
** I'm a new subscriber here in the Gettysburg, PA area and a
hardcore herb freak. I'd say if you've made a positive ID and it isn't
growing too close to a road, go for it.
JK>Just got some sage and rosemary to put in with some other low shrubs.
JK>I am going to keep looking for herbs for that area.
You got rosemary to grow? I love that herb, using it often in cooking
with vegetables, but I have no success in getting it to grow. You'll have to
tell me your secret.
JK>I planted an oak tree next to my two holly trees. I think there is
JK>something way back trying to say something:)
Now if you get yourself an ash tree, you'll have quite a, shall we
say, druidic collection?
I do try to grow a lot of herbs, but my favorite is the mint family.
I just got true peppermint this year to go along with the apple mint,
pineapple mint, orange mint and chocolate mint. There is a greenhouse north
of me in Grantham, PA called Ashcombes and they are celebrating their herb
festival tomorrow with all their herbs on sale for $.99. Hopefully, I'll be
able to complete my mint collection.
