following up a message from Bob Jones to Sean Dennis:

SD> Also, I'm giving Joe the entire, unaltered archive of Gary Gilmore's
SD> Maximus/Squish website. He's looking for someone to host it for
SD> him if at all possible. It's extremely low bandwidth and 100MB at
SD> the most. I'd prefer if a fellow Maximus sysop could host it for
SD> him. I'd recommend DSL or better as there are some good sized
 SD> files on there.

 BJ> Sean:

 BJ> I'm interested in a copy of the old Gary Gilmore's Maximus/Squish
BJ> web site archive. Unfortunately, I'm not setup where I can host it
BJ> as a web site. If you still have all the areas set up with
BJ> FILES.BBS, I could populate my BBS with the old areas,

I would echo this also. I probably have some of this stuff on hand
already, and would definitely be willing to host more.

I *do* have a web site that's in the process of being built in the linux
box, but I'm quite a ways off from any sort of real connectivity here.

BJ> which would then make them available via Telnet, VModem and BinkP
 BJ> protocols,

Best I can do in that respect is a fileserv (I only have email) and the
usual bbs stuff.

BJ> via either Fidonet Freq's or via BBS downloads. If you have the
BJ> area descriptions in a filearea.ctl format that would also help get
BJ> things setup quickly. [I know I have a lot of the files already,
BJ> but I have relied on internet access to Gary's archive for the
BJ> files I haven't got on my system.]

I never had 'net access here, so I haven't been able to build things up to
that extent.

BJ> If you can zip it up and send it to me via a supported Fidonet
BJ> protocol, and then send me a netmail or echomail note to look in my
BJ> inbound, that would work. I'm open to discussion of other methods
 BJ> of transfer....

I've got incoming%tanstaaf{at}frackit.com here, and would likewise need a
note to let me know to look in there. Smaller chunks are better (under 1M
or so).

BJ> Right now I could take about 100Mb in my inbound area. Once I
BJ> clean out old (saved) files from the partition, that should be over
 BJ> 1Gb.

My inbound for that email stuff can currently take (looking...) about 25M,
the fido inbound about 90M, but I can shuffle things around and make some
more room.

BJ> If we setup up a password protected fidonet session, I can up that
BJ> to 2Gb, possibly more if the software can handle larger free disk
 BJ> space....

 BJ> Let me know....

Likewise.
