That smiley face you a referring to is your signature in every message.  So 
does that mean that every msg you type is not to be taken "super serious?"  
For a moderator, you don't have much of an open mind.  He just said that the 
Altecs are nice compared to most computer speakers.  What if someone doesn't 
have the money to buy an amp and a pair of loudspeakers?  So then they can't 
put out 100 bucks to get the Altecs just because they don't comply to your hi 
audio standards?  Or if they do, then they are idiots who don't know anything 
about how good something sounds?

Okay, he was wrong in making the assumption that you haven't heard the 
speakers, but he probably knew that you would've put them down anyways.  I am 
not saying you or anyone else is not entitled to their opinion.  What I'm 
saying is that somethings are good for their purpose and while others may not 
think so, if someone thinks that it is, then that is their opinion.  They do 
not deserve to have insults coming to them because of their opinion.  BTW, 
how old are you?
