Stupid question but... are you sure they are not sharing these files
out of thier home directories (security permitting)?

This problem is fairly common, the fix is not. Microsoft has a TID on
this, don't have the number handy, but try searching MS knowledge base
for nwpp32.dll. The fix is to install the Novell 32bit client or
update the nwpp32.dll, which so far I can't find (read the amusing
note at the bottom of the TID). We have been upgrading to Client 32.
