subject: Re: Linux ready for desktop yet?

From: "Gary Britt"

The commenter I quoted wasn't talking about the regular video in Linux not
supporting Nvidia and ATI cards. He was talking about the super duper XGL
fancy virtual desktops on cubes and super transparency stuff that is done
in the video that got George's attention. Its that super duper XGL stuff
that he said didn't support Nvidia and ATI cards without special drivers
and a kernel recompile.
