Hello, folks. It's been quite a while since I posted here, so I
thought I would try this again. I am interested in obtaining copies
of the birth announcements from The Miami Herald. I have contacted
the newspaper, but they want an exhorbitant amount of money for each
copy, and I simply don't have that kind of money to spare.
Fortunately, the birth announcements are obtainable in another manner
and at a minimal cost. The Miami Public Library maintains a
microfilm archive of the newspaper, and the cost for retrieving
copies of any portion of it is equivalent to using a public copy
machine. However, you must search through the microfilm reels to
locate the desired portions of the newspaper yourself. This is where
I am in need of some assistance, since I don't live anywhere near
Miami anymore.
If someone who reads this echo happens to live in the Miami area and
would be willing to do the legwork for me, I would greatly appreciate
it if you would contact me either in a reply to this message, or by
E-mailing me via the Internet at searcher@whnt19.com.
I currently live in the Huntsville, Alabama area and would certainly
be willing to do the same for anyone needing legwork in this region.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message.
Bob
