 Your reply here confuses me somewhat. I have the infamous 1433 and
 diagnostics show me that I have v42bis enabled but I am achieving
 3200-3300 cps as I would expect when connecting to a v34 modem. I
 can't say the link is unsteady or unreliable and I wonder where
 the figures of 3900, 6600 and 5760. Is this port speed and if so
 is my data 32000 bps a poor performance? What gives?
