When I worked for the TV network it was always " The show must go on'.
Camera breakdown, recording breakdown (my department so to speak)
with a studio full of artists that can only be booked on that same day once,
or on the air .. selling black.. or 'Sorry people today no .. show' is out of
the question.
My first boss ended up in the madhouse. pressure,
I always thought it was from my declarations... ;-)
last I heard from him was a card from the madhouse, we got a new boss.
But anyways in all those years the show always went on in my case.
Fault finding in seconds or find some alternative solution was a natural to me.
You do have to know the stuff down to the transistor so to speak.
