I think the latter is a better description. :) I got the
15-minute response to idle questions as a kid, too, which only
fed *my* curiosity; it taught me that curiosity is OK, and that
there's always something more to learn about things, and that
seemingly everyday things are more interesting than they appear
at first glance.  There are *much* worse lessons you can teach
your son.  Maybe he'll end up in my profession, wotwot?
