subject: Import ?

Hello Dale, we were saying !

DS> How you import text into a reply depends on the editor you are
 DS> using, not on BlueWave.

        Oh ! ;-))

DS> I use a program called Qedit (later versions are named TSE Jr.).

I use TSE jr. Yeah ! I know that you have some power over BW
but this is beyond hope, at least beyond what I was hoping for. As I
read your reply, I tried again to import a .doc and after doing what
you instructed, which is what I was doing before too, I spaced back
over the suggested path and then a light came on and I typed: *.doc.
This showed me all the saved .doc in C:\BWAVE on a drop down menu. I
was able to select the one I wanted, eg:

DS> 1. system used (XP, ME, OS/2 or what ever).
 DS> 2. directory where your Bwave executable lives (e.g. h:\bwave\ )
DS> 3. from the configuration menus:
DS> a. under archive, what is on the line for zip? (assuming you are
 DS> using zip compression).

I have cut part of it off as it was lenghty but you will
recognize part of one of the many replies sent my way. Now where do you
hold this magical power that made it work this time ? Are you a kin to
Merlin ? Just mentioning your name in a reply made it work, I am using
exactly the same procedure as before, slightly modified to a *.doc.

And no problem it being a .doc, I save them from BW, err, from
TSE Jr., and they are .txt files even if I call them .doc. Dirty trick,
no ? Now let me try the true way of calling the specified file,
 Dale.doc....

DS> 1. system used (XP, ME, OS/2 or what ever).
 DS> 2. directory where your Bwave executable lives (e.g. h:\bwave\ )
DS> 3. from the configuration menus:
DS> a. under archive, what is on the line for zip? (assuming you are
 DS> using zip compression).

Hey, now it worked. I am bowing, forehead to the ground, toward
the south, where Hisparus is located.

Once more, many a thankyou. Is this editor not the best one to
use ? They are still in business, you know. URL to TSE Jr. I am still
learning how to use it better, you might have guessed this already.

        Be good.
