   My understanding of what Day is saying is that any "dinner of insight" is
NOT a banquet feast and one is grateful for only a few.  One does not CHOOSE
to give myth meaning, "mankind" itself is a myth and in our role as humble
participants in a process not of our making the myth still requires to be
lived with and is always in danger of being used to destroy the pursuit of
science by confusing the two and allowing them to blend into each's separate
and legitimate domain.
