In my experience, they won't even MOVE the action when fired.  Very
effective way of turning a semi into a bolt action repeater, or even a
single shot if they fail to feed in the auto mechanism, which they often
do.  My mark II ruger wouldn't even feed CB longs.  CB shorts in a rifle
are remarkably silent however.
