Hi colleagues,
I have a question about a problem with my Windows NT 4.0 clients. We are
currently migrating from a Novell 3.12 environment to a Windows NT 4.0
environment. My clients log on to both NT and Novell servers. The
problem is that many users do not properly shut down their Windows NT
machines; that causes the Netware connections to remain active. The next
time a client logs on to the Novell server, he has two connections and
so forth. This way, the connection limit is reached quickly. Apparently,
the watchdog timer would not recognize an abnormal disconnect for a very
long time. I have heard that Novell has a patch for this. Once applied,
Novell will immediately release a non-active connection. Does any of you
know if this patch exists and where I can get it ? Thanks for your help
in advance !
Regards,

Georg Pauwen
