Linux, NetBSD and some other Unicies already run on a variety of 64-bit
systems. I believe GCC will allow cross-compiling with any of its supported
targets and hosts, yes. Though, if you have a 64-bit system, it seems a bit
silly to compile for it on a 32-bit system. :-) And if you don't have a
64-bit system, you can't test... If nothing else, there are some Alphas in
the SF compile farm that you can use.
