Exactly.  I am not sure which is worse but if internal conflict can be
avoided without external grief continuing to be grief then I'd be inclined
to say what's on my mind and get it over with.  That is probably why I live
alone eh?

Understood.  My point was/is that one has to have respect before it can be
lost and that it isn't an automatic thing or at least I don't feel it
automatically despite the regular everyday latitude.  I realize that is
what others call respect and is where I differ in the definition of
respect.  I don't believe appearances to always reflect reality, in this
case inner true feelings.

Understood.  I could cite an example but I'd rather not.  One of those
internal struggles as it were that is best kept internally just to keep the
peace.
