I tend to be the same, in practicality...  The future is nowhere near
the forefront of thought, and what happens, happens.  If pressed though,
I'd have to say that I expect that the person should be deserving of
respect, unless and until proven otherwise, so I procede on that basis,
although not without open eyes and proper caution.
