I've found BRE can be a little too sensitive about the clock thing.  My 
BBS is usually a minute or two ahead of my main machine depending on how 
recently each has time synched with the local NetWare server (only 
occurs during network login).  I've had numerous times where the BBS has 
processed a packet and I've either had to wait a few minutes or reset my 
clock in order to play my turns....
