How about a chop stick?  Train her to chew on this when you pick her
up or give her the command up.  her reward  is the chop stick to 
play around when your holding her.
Sometimes this happens when a bird is "fingered" to play around
while the owner holds onto the bird.  This starts usually when the
baby is weaning and thus the chewing grows harder as the bird gets
older.  This chop stick has worked for me to transfer the finger to
the wood.
