JE> JK> I've got chamomile growing wild around here. Is there any danger in
JE> JK> picking and saving this plant?
JE> Not that I know of. ANYTHING taken in excess can be dangerous,
JE> but you can always find a few good herb books at the local
JE> library to tell just how & when to dry and store everything.
JE> The pleasure of home-made teas is about to be yours!
Have one friend who claims that some forms of chamomile are poisonious.
I didn't think that this is true.
JE> JK> I planted an oak tree next to my two holly trees. I think there is
JE> JK> something way back trying to say something:)
JE> ! Holly is a tradional "guard" plant, and oak of course is one
JE> of our most ancient and revered trees. Sounds beautiful!
I also planted some sage and some rosemary on that bank in amonst some
shrubs, and some lavender next to the house. I will have to figure out
what to use this stuff for.
I'm going to look for more herbs and put them on the bank as I get rid
of the nettles. Only way I know of to do that is to kill them off, then
dig up the roots. Then they don't come back.
