Strangely enough, the BTLZ pausing problem is only evident when in
interactive mode (i.e. typing characters from the terminal).  When actually
transferring files, BTLZ works just fine.  Perhaps this is why it took USR
themselves so long to acknowledge that the problem existed (and why
Dynalink deny that it exists at all) ?  Either way though, I still wouldn't
care to own one...
