To verify presence - rpm -qa | grep samba You should see these package names, with the current version in place of the *. samba-* system-config-samba samba-swat-* samba-common-* samba-client-* >If it is not there then how to install it from the web? Can a package >manager do it? From the command line, you can see what is missing from above.
