At $399-odd, the X-Files modem is surprisingly cheaper JP> than any other NetComm modem I've ever seen. NetComm are still paying off their marble staircase then, are they? One can buy two perfectly usable Taiwanese Rockwell 33k6 clones for that amount, and still have enough cash left over to buy a 4X CD-ROM drive, or whatever...
