        Well, I will be darned. I just tried it on the Athlon 1.2
 desktop, in BW and also in my editor and they both answer to the DOS
 command in the same way. For the last 5 weeks, I was away and used the
 Thinkpad solely, thus my remarks about its behaviour. Now, back home
 ont the desktop, things are different. I have no explanation.

 CJ> screen when you get the freeze?  Here Alt-Spacebar makes the cursor
 CJ> disappear but a mouse click brings it back.

        I will have to get back on the TP to try this.

        I do not think that it would make a difference, DOS is DOS. How
 these two PRGs enter DOS from XP Pro, I have not a clew. Nor from any
 other WIN OS, for that matter, as they did before on 95, 98SE or Me.
